Zimbra Web Mail

February 21st, 2006

Remember Zimbra? It is the slick web mail interface which includes some cool Ajax functionality. It can be a decent Outlook and Exchange replacement. There is a good flash demo of the product on their website. Apparently you can even use desktop clients like Outlook, Thunderbird, Apple Mail and Eurdora with it. And it also has support for the Blackberry.

I am reminded of Zimbra because a local company is now offering Zimbra hosting which I may consider using if I can make it send messages to my Treo 600. But I may need to upgrade to a Treo 700w to really leverage all of the useful messaging features.
