ReSharper 2.0 Build 227, Almost Done!
March 20th, 2006I have been tracking the frequent ReSharper builds lately with varying degrees of satisfaction. After the Build 221 install I left work, went to a coffee shop and experienced major issues. It seemed to hang, like it was trying to do something, so I would wait and finally restart Visual Studio 2005. And I had to do that multiple times. Later at home, with an active internet connection, it worked without a problem. Later released appear to have eliminated this issue.
Otherwise I have experienced database connection failures when open a solution. It does not tell me which database failed to connect, which would actually be useful among my multiple database instances. I dug around in the Server Explorer and in Database Managment Studio to ensure my access info was correct but I could not stop the errors. It turns out it was 3 separate MDF files created as SQL 2005 Express databases for ASP.NET projects in the App_Data folders. I do not use them, so by deleting them I was able to make the errors go away.
Today I see that Build 227 is available. I am sure it is more bug fixes and hopefully performance improvements to speed up the startup time. I think they are getting pretty close to a fast and stable release.

Yeap, we're shooting for next week (March 27th) for the final ReSharper 2.0 release ... hang in there, it's almost out! Please do keep beating the EAP versions and keep reporting bugs!
