Opening Day for Hurling

This weekend is the first week of matches. A notable match this week is the very first match of the Milwaukee Hurling Youth League. The County Clare Stingers and Jimbo's Badgers will match up at 10am to start off the day at Brown Deer Park and will be followed by the 4 adult matches for the Milwaukee Hurling Club. Every year the club holds a player draft and everyone is essentially shuffled and placed randomly on a team each year. Hurling in 2004

The preseason for the Milwaukee Hurling Club is now in full swing. Last night I had a great time at practice and later at the Milwaukee Ale House for the Round Robin. I guess there is a new chef there, and as a part of the change they now have a pot roast on the menu. I had it and it was very good. County Clare also has a pot roast, but I think theirs is a bit more tasty.
