Useful Firefox Extensions

Firefox Extensions
I have been using Mozilla for quite a while and lately I use Firefox. Since the 1.0 release I have seen more and more useful extensions being published. It seems it is good thing when the code base actually stabilizes. Today I needed to see which cookies were being set by the web application I am developing so I dug around and found the View Cookies extension. It allows me to simply view Page Info and select a Cookies tab so I can see the cookies related to the current page. That is very useful.

Now that the weather is getting warmer finally I am keeping close tabs on the temperature. The ForecastFox extension displays the current weather and tomorrows forecast on the status bar of Firefox. It seems like such common sense feature that I am surprised MacOS and Windows do not provide a similar feature with the OS.

At home I have iTunes playing podcasts while I use the computer and I use FoxyTunes to control iTunes from Firefox so that I do not have to move between windows all the time. It has been extremely useful so far.

One funny, yet serious extension is the Homeland Security Threat Level extension. It shows the current level. It is a serious thing, but it is funny to show it in the status bar of my web browser.

Of course I am still using the other extensions I have been using for a while, like Web Developer, Google Preview and Tidy.

Next I really need a good WebDav extension to allow me to browse a WebDav URL like a folder. I have not seen one yet.
